COP / LOP
In an elevator, there are two main control panels: the COP and the LOP. The COP is inside the elevator car, and it’s what you use to select the floor you want to go to. It usually has buttons for each floor and sometimes additional buttons for features like opening and closing the doors or emergency calls. When you’re inside the elevator, you use the COP to tell the elevator where you want to go.
On the other hand, the LOP is located outside the elevator, typically on each floor near the elevator doors. It allows people waiting for the elevator to call it to their floor. Just like the COP, the LOP has buttons for selecting floors, and sometimes for other functions like opening the doors or signaling an emergency.
So, in simple terms, the COP is what you use when you’re inside the elevator, while the LOP is what you use when you’re waiting for the elevator on a floor. They both help control the movement of the elevator, making it easy for people to get where they need to go safely and efficiently
